The ones i cooked in the laksa did taste like dau miu. The ones that I stir-fried did as well, but they weren’t as tender – maybe cos I waited too long to harvest them. I don’t think they are snow peas – they are just a variety of pea bred for shoots. I do have some snow pea and regular pea shoots to harvest – I just need to figure out which ones I planted were the untreated ones.
The dumplings were store-bought – Miss S said “I’ll only eat them if they are from the shop” – gutted… but easier than spending an hour folding home-made ones.
