Cupcakes

I love cupcakes – both the making and eating parts. And I love cupcake cases. They make the simple cupcake look so pretty and dainty. I’ve amassed a small collection and I must say, I’m on the lookout for some more!

Cupcake cases

I test-drove the ‘tulip’ cases today. They are totally grease-proof – no grease marks at all on the muffin tins – so they get a huge thumbs up!

What did I make – you ask? S’more cupcakes from Bakerella. The recipe does make 17 cupcakes using the tulip cases. If normal cases were used, I could probably get 20 cupcakes out of the mix with no over-flow.

They were easy to make – only downside was there were more mixing bowls to wash. Still, the end result was delicious – I didn’t even get to prepare the chocolate ganache and drizzle the cakes with it before 2 were whisked out of the oven and devoured by Mr K and Miss S!

L to R: Choc Batter, Cracker Batter, Crumb Topping

Layering process - cracker batter, crumb topping, marshmallow, choc batter, crumb topping to finish

In the process of being eaten :)

Yummy yum yum yum… what can I make next?

Note: I used digestive biscuits instead of graham crackers.
